A beautiful 56 degrees and sunny skies lit up Woodland Skate Park as over 70 guests arrived to eat, skate and worship Easter evening. Hours before, Trinity arrived to set up his 3 tier BBQ system - grilling 44 Cheese Burgers, 48 Hotdogs, bacon wrapped cabbage, and more! Skaters made the most of the weather and took to the skate park.
Following dinner, JuJu gathered on the hill north of the skate park to worship and proclaim the resurrection in our lives. We are coming out of the tomb. While skating away from tragedy, we have encountered the living Christ on the road with us. We are emboldened not to run away from pain but to trusts God transforms it and can bring us all back to life! The meal of unrelenting grace was spread. The bread blessed and love poured out in the name of Jesus Christ. Parents and skaters served communion to any and all. Jesus was again made known in the breaking of the bread (Luke 24:13-35).
Skaters took to the skate park to rehearse their best tricks. Flying. Flipping. Busting. Running. Leaping. These athletes soared! Each skater was cheered to new heights. Each one laying it all out. The competition elicited their very best. Those watching witnessed a holy night.
